Welcome to Active Animal Rehab!

I am excited to offer this new service to Islanders.

As a licensed physiotherapist and certified holder of a Diploma in Canine Rehabilitation, I am thrilled to bring my knowledge and skills to the areas of small animal rehabilitation. Since graduating from Dalhousie University in 2011, I have gained extensive experience in diverse practice settings across PEI from hospital to home-based care. I have advanced training in Orthopedic and Neurological conditions, and Cancer and Vestibular Rehabilitation.

Just as in humans, dogs and cats experience similar conditions and injuries throughout their lives. With Canine Rehabilitation, I can help you and your veterinarian diagnose and treat your pet with orthopedic injuries such hip dysplasia, fractures and dislocations, ligament (CCL) tears, and common muscle strains. I can also provide neurological rehab to those suffering from IVDD or other disc injuries, degenerative myelopathy, or traumatic brain injuries.

I can't wait to be a part of your family member's journey and care from young pup to senior companion.

A Girl and Her Dogs - My Inspirations

I am the proud owner of 2 beautiful dogs, Zoey and Nova.

Zoey, my 6 year old lab-hound mix, is the reason I started this adventure into canine rehabilitation. For the past 4 years, she has been my goofy and fun-loving agility partner. As she transitions into the veteran class for agility, I want to do my best to support her muscles and joints so she can continue enjoying the sport for years to come.

At 1 year old, Nova, is the newest addition to the family. As a recent adoption, she needs slow-paced training and support to develop into a wonderful, strong, and healthy dog for our family. With little training prior to her adoption, she had significant weakness in her core and hind end that affected her daily function and ability to participate in my family's active lifestyle.
